How are the tiny homes insulated?

 In

We use closed cell spray foam insulation in all our tiny homes on wheels. We feel it is the best insulation available for them. It delivers R18 in the walls and ceiling. Testing conducted by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Research Center shows spray-applied polyurethane foam insulation between wood stud wall panels increased rack and shear strength two to three times compared with standard stick-built components with fiberglass insulation when sprayed onto oriented strandboard (OSB). This makes the home very strong and easy to heat and cool. The floor area is insulated using R-15 rock wool along with a 15 mil vapor barrier.
